Tensor Threads
Face lift without surgery.
With aging, you begin to lose facial fat and muscle mass, the skin is seen looser on the face, around the neck and jowls. The tensioning threads are an alternative for those patients who do not wish to undergo a facial surgical procedure, since they help to prevent, avoid and diminish flaccidity and the loss of firmness in neck and face without the face losing its natural expression.
There are different types of threads inside which are the monofilaments and the spiculated threads (with spikes), which are hooked to the dermis to tighten the skin.
The tensor threads are very fine and may be composed of a material called polydioxanone (PDO) currently the most used and polylactic acid, both resorbable materials, biocompatible, collagen regenerators and do not produce allergies or side effects. Due to the cones, the polylactic acid threads produce an immediate lifting effect.
The facelift without surgery with tensioning threads, is a facial lifting technique without the need for an operating room and without scars for eyebrows, cheeks, cheekbones, neck and mandibular angle.
METHOD
The technique is very simple and safe, The treatment is done by introducing and placing a thin guide cannula in the subcutaneous tissue and remove it, the thread is tightened, causing a gradual fibrosis in this layer, which will facilitate its anchorage to the skin, resulting in a firmer skin and more turgid.
Although the results are evident once the treatment has been carried out, the definitive results are observed after 15 days, as the residual inflammation decreases.
DUR
The duration of the results is usually 1 to 1.5 years, depending on skin quality, regeneration capacity and genetics, among other factors.
Other Applications
Although the threads are more frequently used in facial and neck rejuvenation treatments, they can also be used in other parts of the body such as breasts, arms, legs and abdomen among others. The best results are obtained in patients with slight and moderate flaccidity.
