Platelet-rich plasma PRP

METHOD

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is an autologous biological material, meaning that it is obtained from the patient's own blood. The technique is quite simple, it consists of extracting a sample of blood from the forearm that is then centrifuged to separate the plasma with the platelets from the rest of the blood components. This plasma is activated and we proceed to inject it into the skin.

DURATION

The number of sessions will be indicated by the cosmetic doctor, since it depends on several factors, such as age, genetics, the type and quality of the patient's skin, as well as the deterioration or sun damage caused by previous exposure.
Although there is no specific protocol, it is recommended, in a more deteriorated skin, more frequent sessions of PRP, which can become a monthly session for 3 months and then one every 4 to 6 months and for normal skin 2 to 3 sessions per year.

DISCOMFORT

Although it is not very painful, a topical anaesthetic can be applied a few minutes before the procedure for greater patient comfort. No post-treatment rest is required.
